Okay I havent blogged in a while and the Sunday before Labor Day, the boys and I went out to see Matt Jeni and the kids. I mostly go to see the Carter and Shayla but its nice visiting with Matt and Jeni too. Matt was making his famous Dutch Oven Honey Chicken, and of course we time it just right!! After dinner we played Cranium the boys and I were on one team while Matt and Jeni were a team.....Needless to say Matt & Jeni won but I had my camera handy to take pictures, before and after dinner. One of my favorite things to do is take pictures of Carter, Shayla and Brooklyn......So if your not family then you will probably get tired of all the pics I'm posting of them. Oh well its my blog! So get a drink sit back and enjoy them as much as I do!!!!

BOWLING+FELLOW EMPLOYEES=FUN FUN FUN

Nikki, My branch manager Cam Shoell & Caroline (his wife)

Lacie and date

Tony, Nikki's husband, Karalee & Syd
Crew Shoell

Ok, let me just start out by saying that I work with the best group of people, I really can honestly say that I enjoy going to work and its because of who I work with. A few weeks ago we all went bowling and we were able to take our spouses or kids ( for us lucky ones who dont have a spouse). I took Bronson because Robert had better plans than hanging out with Mom and her fellow workers. All week long I had been talking smack about how good I was that I had bowled on a league and even had my own ball (with my name engraved on it, spelled correctly) I also bragged about how my boys were on a league and had won trophys at the State Bowling Competion and even got some scholarship money. When will I ever learn to keep my big mouth shut, because after all that Smack Talk I got a beat down. Oh well I have been seceretly practicing and will challenge them to a rematch. After the bowling some of us went back to my branch managers house to play Guitar Hero. Bronson was smack talking about how good he is and to hear him tell the story he beat the pants off Cam & Cam but you should hear what the 2 Cam's have to say about that. I remembered to take my camera to capture some of the action.

YOUR NEVER TOO OLD FOR 1ST DAY OF SCHOOL PICTURE!!

Okay so its really the second day of school picture.......but neither Boy was happy with me taking their pictures, reminding me that they're not 3 any more well DUH if you were 3 I wouldn't be taking 1st day of school pictures......good thing they go to different schools since they are wearing the same color shirt!!! I can't believe that Robert is a junior and Bronson a freshman, they are growing up too fast it makes me sad but at the same time in a weird way happy that they are!!!

NOTHING NEW

I lead a very boring life......I go to work, go home, yell at the kids and bird, fix dinner, watch TV, go to bed, get up and do it all over again. There has to be more to life than this. I used to have an out 1 Friday out of every month playing Bunko, but I guess someone has another life that they wanted to live during the summer so now I have no outs well okay I guess you can count Sunday when I get to teach primary, or should I say when primary teaches me. Let me tell you I look forward to Sundays now, I just love these kids. I have never had a calling before, but this has been one of the most amazing experience. I have learned so much in just the few short months I have been with them, it has definitely made my testimony stronger. There are 5 girls and 2 boys (only 1 of them shows up)Sometimes I think they are 9 going on 19 at least the girls act like it. School starts YEAH YAHOOEY YIPPEE SKIPPY, I am so excited my grocery bill and electric bill will go back down. Robert is changing schools this year and is determined to get good grades since I added a little incentive in there (but that's between me and him)Bronson is also wanting to get good grades because he realizes that he has to in order to try out for the teams. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but we are all setting some goals for the new school year. (Mom, I know what your thinking) I just had to post something since my sister-in-law hated going to my blog and seeing Rick's face..

RICK SPRINGFIELD

Okay Jeni, here's your new post, but you probably don't even know who Rick Springfield is......There will be a few of you out there who will know what I'm talking about. I fell in love with Rick when I first saw him on I think it was American Bandstand (something else that shows my age) singing Jesse's Girl, and he was Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital. I saw him in concert and loved him ever since. I saw him again on Today show singing and he is still HOT HOT HOT!!

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY

a room decorated with family photos
family teamwork
family game night
a bucketful of private family jokes
a dishonest doctor's scale
food, family, and friends
making someone laugh so hard that food comes out of their nose
epidemic laughter
children's laughter

I have been trying to figure out things that make me happy. I googled "things that make me happy" and found this link http://www.thingstobehappyabout.com/six-degrees.php?db=six_degrees&terms=family. I typed in a few things and a list came up with some ideas of things that make people happy, some of them were pretty funny and I couldn't imagine them ever making me happy just goes to show different strokes for different folks. My boys, family & friends make me happiest of all. I just love love love them and hope they all know it.
